Graduate Students
Dr. Grant accepts graduate students interested in examining cognitive and psychophysiological correlates of anxiety and related disorders. Students particularly interested in learning more about social anxiety, generalized anxiety, and the associated repetitive negative thoughts (i.e., anticipatory processing, worry, rumination) are encouraged to apply. My graduate students become involved in research very early on in their career, developing their own research interests, as well as contributing to lab publications and presentation of research at conferences. Students interested in graduate research opportunities in this lab should email Dr. Grant directly at demond.grant@okstate.edu.
Please see the OSU Clinical Psychology Graduate Program Website for more detailed information about the program and application process.
Dr. Grant does anticipate accepting a new graduate student for the 2022-2023 year.
Undergraduate Students
Although I typically have open research positions for undergraduates each semester (Psyc 4990), they are competitive and availability is limited. If you are interested in joining the lab, please complete the application listed below in order to receive full consideration.
Our undergraduates have several responsibilities, include recruitment of participants, running cognitive and psychophysiological protocols, editing psychophysiological data (e.g., EEG, Heart Rate Variability), library research, and data entry. Students need to have an interest in research, should be self-motivated, and should be able to work on their own with little supervision. Those interested must be available to work 8 hours per week plus attend monthly lab meetings. Preference will be given to students who meet the above requirements, as well as those who are willing to commit to LEAP for one year.
